What is a toy library?

A toy library is a way of borrowing toys for your child to take home to play with. You can borrow from hundreds of toys for babies & children from 0 - 11 years.

Good quality toys are expensive and the toy library is a great way for you and your child to enjoy different toys without having to buy them.

Or you can 'try before you buy' so you don't make expensive mistakes for birthdays/Christmas!

How long can I borrow toys for and how many can I have?

Toys can be borrowed for two weeks, but if you want them for longer and another member is not waiting for it, you can extend this time. Members can borrow three toys at a time.

Do I pay anything?

No. You can join the toy library and borrow toys completely FREE!

How do I join?

Come along to the toy library session and speak to the toy library volunteer or other member of staff.

You will need to fill in a membership form and will be asked for identification. Something with your address on is fine.

What if a toy breaks?

We understand that toys do sometimes get damaged in normal use. So if a toy has become broken, please do not worry, you will not be charged. But...we would appreciate all the bits back if at all possible!

Will you fine me if I return the toy late?

No, we don't charge for a late return. But may contact you to remind you to bring a toy back, especially if someone else is waiting for it.
