AGENDA for Public Meeting
Wellesbourne Action Group(WAG)
Public Meeting
Monday October 2nd 2006
7pm at Wellesbourne Primary School
Do you have any issues you want to raise about your Community?
What activities would you like in Wellesbourne?
What would you like to see changed or improved?
A steering group has been working hard since the successful W.I.S.C up Wellesbourne day in May to establish Wellesbourne Action Group (WAG).
Now is the time for you, the Community of Wellesbourne, to have your say!
Wellesbourne Action Group (WAG) has been set up to make Wellesbourne a Safer and Inclusive Community (W.I.S.C). This can only be done with your support and your input. The WAG meetings are designed for the community of Wellesbourne to have a voice. It will highlight and address the concerns that you have raised within Wellesbourne. The group will also listen to suggestions you may have for further activities you would like to see developed in your community and be able to seek appropriate funding. The first project is a revamp of Wellesbourne Youth Centre with £6500 already allocated!
The Wellesbourne Action Group (WAG) will also be a fundamental part of the new Safer Neighbourhoods scheme, which is being rolled out throughout the county later this year. The Safer Neighbourhood Scheme works alongside statutory agencies like the Police and Councils. Your views are needed in shaping how the Police and other agencies can work positively with your Community on the issues you have raised at the WAG meetings.
On Monday October 2nd at 7pm a public meeting will be held at Wellesbourne Primary School, Mountford Close. The meeting is being held to give local residents an opportunity to become involved in WAG. This will include electing the new Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and fellow committee members. Are you interested in taking part in these positions? Or do you just want to come along and voice your views.
We look forward to seeing you, the community of Wellesbourne, working together to make Wellesbourne a Safer and Inclusive place to live.
