Background
The villagers of Ladbroke, Warwickshire, in the heart of England, decided to celebrate the Millennium by creating a new facility for people of all ages. We formed Ladbroke Millennium
Green Trust to raise finance, acquire the site and develop and maintain the Millennium Green in accordance with the villagers' wishes and the Trust's aims. We have raised
funds through many village events and generous donations.
The Millennium Green now provides an open air centre for the village with a children's play area, seating, rest areas, wild flower meadow and wildlife habitat. As a focal point
we have erected a tall Millennium Stone with a time capsule buried at its base.
